Rumourmill

It appears someone over at Microsoft had a bit of an 'uh-ohhhh' moment, although at the rate these "accidents" happen, you can't be blamed for thinking almost every leak is done on purpose to build hype. Even if that's true, this is one very interesting and hype-building leak indeed. Ignoring the fact that it's a halo branded console, it is after all, a SILVER 360Slim; something not yet seen or even hinted at. Is this silver console the future of special edition game bundles? Only time will tell.
Soon after this "accident", the listing not surprisingly disappeared, but when it was up it showed some good info as you can see. What we know so far is that it will be US$399.99, and by my estimates i am guessing that will mean it will be the 250GB version, with Halo Reach included and the special limited edition controller (maybe 2?). The Halo Reach limited edition controller (image here) (news story here), was also leaked alongside this bundle for the normal US$60 price. Both the console and controller showed a September 14th release date, the same as Halo Reach.
All this comes in a timely fashion as well, because Bungie is at Comic-Con this week; so is this something they had planned to announce to the world? Guess we will see. What are everyone's thoughts? Like i said ignoring the fact it's a Halo bundle, do you like the 360Slim in silver? or do you rather it in black?

[UPDATE]
This console has been confirmed, go to Bungie.net for more info.
The coming dashboard update, although said to be only for the US for the time being, has had some pictures leaked on a website called "Logic-Sunrise". We don't know if these are real, which is why it's in the rumourmill section, but take a look anyway.
Question is: Would you like to see this dashboard every day when you turn your xbox on? Personally, i like the current one more.

So...you might know this small Playstation 3 exclusive game called Gran Turismo 5? You know the one which has been delayed....well more times than i can count. I mean for all i know you could have been under a rock the past few years, i don't know. But anyway, it appears that the new motion controller for the PS3 titled the "Playstation Move", which is rumoured for a July release, is behind the recent delay(s) of Gran Turismo 5.
Why you ask? Well it has been in-part confirmed that the game will support the new "Move" controller of course!! This came about when a list of compatible games was put on the Playstation Move website, which included the before mentioned Gran Turismo 5, among a few others. Now i don't know about you, but i don't exactly want to play a racing game (and a sim one at that), by waving a stick around you know? Why would they bother wasting development time on implementing it? To get more sales? Or is it another way to buy more time on development in another area of the game?
Sony has said they plan to have at least 20 games supporting Move before the end of the 2010 fiscal year; some of the confirmed games to support Move at release or in the future are, Resident Evil 5, Little Big Planet 1 & 2, EyePet, High Velocity Bowling, Heavy Rain, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 and SOCOM 4.

We all remember at the launch of Halo 3 how we had 3 choices of games; Standard, Limited and Legendary. Well it seems rumours are spreading that Halo Reach will be getting the same 3 edition treatment.
The standard edition will cost US$60, whereas the limited edition including special packaging, collectibles and in-game armour will set you back US$80. The ultimate 'Legendary' version of Halo: Reach weighs-in at US$150, bundling all of the limited content into an even more uniquely packaged boxy-box-box, with a "Legendary Noble 6 Sculpture".
This rumour started from an alleged Best Buy advertisement set to circulate next week, which was in part confirmed by a Gamestop ad caught by user "CalmedFury". The picture can be seen below.

I don't know about everyone else, but Special editions like Halo 3's Legendary Edition and Modern Warfare 2's Prestige Edition; seem to be bordering on pointless. We look at the extra content discs maybe once or twice, and allot of the bigger stuff (Spartan Helmet, Night Vision Goggles); just end up on ebay anyway when people realise how much of a waste of money they were. Granted, there are people out there who like collecting all the expensive edition stuff, but personally, i see no point.
Regardless, we wait for Microsoft or Bungie to confirm this rumour; which will probably happen before or around the launch of the Beta on May 3rd.

Limited and Legendary editions now official, go to Bungie.net for pics and info.
Lets face it, Microsoft needs an answer to Home, it makes PS3 a unique experience; and Microsoft is going to answer that with "Xbox Game Room".
We don't know much about this, it hasn't even really been announced, we just know it's on the way sometime in the future; and today at CES it is possible that we could have an official announcement revealing the Home-like service. Don't expect a huge area filled with a bowling alley and movie theatre like PS3's Home, but we can expect what will probably be a huge arcade area like Timezone. The Microsoft Keynote set to start around 6:30pm PST (around 1:30pm AEDST i think) today. Here is the official post by Microsoft about the event.
