Summer of Arcade Lineup is out:

First up is Playdead's phenomenal physics-based platformer Limbo, launching July 21 at 1200 MS points. It's the story of a young boy's journey into the underworld to rescue his sister from the edge of hell. Gamepay

Hydro Thunder Hurricane screams across the finish line and onto the marketplace July 28 at 1200 MS points. It's a sequel to the original PSOne racing series, that see's turbo-charged speedboats racing around insane circuit. Trailer

The rather awesome-looking Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, a multiplayer version of Konami's long-running vampire slaying series launches August 4, priced 1200 MS points. It features characters from across the series. Features Walkthrough

Released on August 11 at 1200 MS points, Monday Night Combat is a brutal mix between FPS team deathmatch modes and the TV show Gladiators. It's a violent blood sport that looks like it could be a sleeper hit. Trailer

Finally, the superb Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light swings onto the marketplace August 18 at a generous 1200 MS points. It's a mix between classic Tomb Raider and Geometry Wars, so more of a twin stick shooter than a puzzling adventure. Trailer

Personally, I had some interest in every one of those titles to start with, and though I'll try demos for all of em, I doubt I'd get Castlevania or Monday Night Combat. Limbo's art style is right up my alley and Hydro Thunder looks fun. Lara Croft also looks alright.

Limbo looks by far the best and thank god its first.

Castlevania for 1200 leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They havent changed the gfx at all. If it was 800 like the new megamans Id pick it up but.

THe thing about Monday Night Combat and Hydro Thunder.... Its just like theyre trying to emulate full games.. Dumbed down full games that is. THe thing I want from XBLA is games which are different and completely unconventional to full games. Stuff like Puzzle Quest, Braid, Shadow Complex and Trials were all awesome because of that.

MNC and Hydro Thunder just look so boring because Ive played games similar to them and in better, more full forms 100 times before. Games like these should just stick to developing for Iphone where the users know no different..

Yep...I agree with you. Limbo is the pick for me. When I saw Castlevania I was really surprised that they hadn't upped the graphics. Hydro Thunder interests me more because I've never played it before and have played very few water racing games, so it's novel for me lol

What do people think of this Blacklight Tango Down? I tried the demo and it seemed like your average shooter to me. Wasn't very impressed in the 20 odd minutes I played. But hey, I've never been much for mp anyway.

I tried it since it was only about 320MB and I was curious. I've never gotten castlevania games though. This did nothing for me at all.

Also, I generally hate games with a time limit as I enjoy exploring. You have a 30 min time limit per map....that alone means I won't buy it.

Limbo bummed me out
Hydro was meh for me
Castlevania was fun, but its very mean... you die and its back to the start of the level... thats all good, but you can spend a lot of time in the level it seems...
is the time limit in the full game too?

Also... no MP in the demo is fail, its what I am most interested in tbh.
