Now coming at you in Hi-Def!!

So it's been a long time between drinks (as they say...), and through most of that it's been a "steady as she goes" kind of boring rut. Not that I've been slummed up at home, in a chair ignoring the outside world, just that it's been the usual work, sport and relaxing on the weekends going on.

That is... 'til a fortnight ago...

A new DFO's opened up in the inner-city (DFO South Wharf), so managed to convince the other half to go for a gander a few weeks before that. A new JB and Good Guys, combined with someone who has to contend with an old (albeit quite large) CRT TV make for a bad combination... That got us both pondering about rejigging the lounge room, and so last week we headed off to look for TV cabinets for an LCD to sit on (the current TV is a big free-standing one). Tossing up between a 46" LCD Sony Bravia (with free PS3) and a 46" Samsung LCD (with free 22" LCD TV), she opted for a lesser-priced (yet still great quality) Bravia. So not only do I get a free PS3, but we used the leftover cash to fork out for a new surround sound system/DVD player combo. Hi-Def TV with One HD = win!!

(Incidentally, she finally got the iPhone that she's been hankerin' for before shopping, so maybe that helped with loosening the pursestrings... )

Looking to get into the world of PS3 soon, but should have a go at the 360 soon - ODST's unopened and starting to gather some dust and I'm feelin' a little guilty... So much gaming, so little time.
