Time as Xbox Ambassador: Almost six months
Most Knowledgeable Genre(s): Sports/Rhythm
Time Zone and Time when Online and on Forums on an average day? I am in the Eastern Standard Time Zone (EST). I normally play in the evenings and a lot during the weekends. I'm on the forums most every day, from land, sea and air.
What was the main reason you had for becoming an Xbox Ambassador and how did you become aware of the program itself? I have been aware of the Ambassador Program since it’s' inception. I do enjoy the satisfaction of helping others, both on the forums and over the LIVE service.
What would you consider your 'specialty' area? Technical issues, account suspensions and console bans.
What would you consider is your greatest contribution to the Xbox Community?
I came to the first Xbox Forums back in 2002, and have really never left. I truly enjoy the community interaction, helping others, and making new gaming friends. Over the years I spent most of my time in the Technical Issues Forum, and offered help where I could. Once becoming a Moderator, my time in that forum has diminished a lot, but I do find the time to roll in there and help where I can.
How do you best recommend that other gamers contact you should they ever require help in the future?
I may be contacted either by Xbox Live messages or by PM's here on the forums. I do prefer to have forum related issues brought to my attention via forum PM's.
We've seen a recent influx of new Xbox Ambassadors admitted to the program. What would you like to see done to further promote the program to the wider Community on both a domestic and international scale?
With the recent "re-opening" of the Ambassador program, I think it is important for more exposure of the program via the Live service, on the Dashboard. We need to remember that a very small percentage of the community actually come to the forums. The more ambassadors we see from all countries that Live is offered, the better in my mind.
If you could provide any information on a specific genre or game, what would it be?
The first tip that comes to mind would be to enjoy all the games for what they are. Sure, its fun to try and get those achievements that are oh-so-hard to acquire, but the games should be fun, and not lost in the Gamerscore "hype." Play nice, play fair, and always treat others as you would like to be treated. A little bit of courtesy goes a long way these days. Happy gaming all!
