Time as Xbox Ambassador: 1 Year.
Most Knowledgeable Genre(s): Absolutely love all track-based racers, the PGR's, Forza's & especially the MotoGP's & SBK's. I also enjoy a lot of FPS as well (GOW & COD mainly).
Time Zone and Time when Online and on Forums on an average day?
GMT as I'm in London, as for online time, I'm pretty much on the 360 every weekday after work & on the forums reading a lot every weekday while at work in the office, although I don't post that often.
What was the main reason you had for becoming an Xbox Ambassador?
I love helping people online with anything & everything if I can. I was put forward so while gaming online people could see I was an Ambassador & know I was there for help online as well. So far up to that point I’d only really helped people out on Forums but when gamers see you're an Ambassador from your profile it’s nice to be asked questions regarding different games & the LIVE service itself.
What would you consider your 'specialty' area?
I like to help with technical issues either with working the 360 & certain features or networking problems as I work in IT so have helped with ICS issues. I also play racers far too much so often give tips on how to master the game’s handling with advice or video's.
What would you consider is your greatest contribution to the Xbox Community? That’s a tough one, probably being friendly & always open to talk, if someone messages me I’ll always try & help them straight away or try & see if I can find the answer from someone else.
How do you best recommend that other gamers contact you should they ever require help in the future? Xbox Live message is the best way, voice or text, either is fine & if need be I can also jump into private or party chat.
Some might argue that many gamers still don’t know about the existence of the Ambassador program and what its goal is. Do you agree and how would you like to see information about it be put out to the Community?
Yeah I agree with that, I've had quite a few messages from friends asking what an Ambassador is, I think it’s had hardly any exposure here in the UK & hardly anyone’s aware of it. What I'd like to see is either a constant 'Tile' under Community explaining how Ambassadors are available for help at any time with us all listed in our Country's or Regions or when someone first signs up to LIVE they are greeted with a page asking them if they'd like further help or to be introduced to LIVE by an Ambassador with us again being listed by Country/Region. Even though we all do love to help we could help in much bigger ways if more was known of the programme.
If you could provide any information on a specific genre or game, what would it be? Racing game tip: please, please, please learn your braking points & go easy in to that first corner, no-one likes to be involved in a 5 car pile-up on the first corner of the first lap of a 5 lap race.
