Xbox Ambassador Spotlight #12 - TimmyTenga

Time as Xbox Ambassador: 13 months.
Most Knowledgeable Genre(s): FPS .. although racing and football (soccer) games never go a-miss.
Time Zone and Time when Online and on Forums on an average day?
I'm on GMT as I live in the UK. You'll find me on LIVE mainly on the weekends and I do tend to get carried away and spend a lot of time online. As for the forums, they join forces with extra work and fill up my weekday evenings but I'm always around on-and-off during weekends too.
What was the main reason you had for becoming an Xbox Ambassador?
I've always enjoyed helping others out and I saw becoming an Ambassador as a chance to get my name out there as someone who is always willing to help. Rather than people stumbling across others willing to help, there is an easy(ish) way for them to seek out Ambassadors who are on hand in all time zones to give them any advice they need.
What would you consider your 'specialty' area? I play a lot of Call of Duty online so I'd probably consider that a 'specialty' but I have a fair knowledge of most other issues/questions, and if I couldn't help directly I'd like to think I knew of someone who could.
What would you consider is your greatest contribution to the Xbox Community? Hmm. It's probably here on the forums. I only really pop my head around the door when someone needs advice and I try to answer as many questions as I can when I'm around.
How do you best recommend that other gamers contact you should they ever require help in the future?
Any way that best suites you really. A PM here is probably best as there isn't a need to keep your question within a certain number of words or within a time limit, but I check my LIVE messages at least twice a day so you can contact me there too!
Some might argue that many gamers still don’t know about the existence of the Ambassador program and what its goal is. Do you agree and how would you like to see information about it be put out to the Community?
I do agree that the Ambassador program is a little neglected in terms of publicity, unfortunately. The best way to advertise the program would be some form of permanent dashboard advertisement but, I'll be honest, I can't see that happening. Most of those that frequent the forum know the program exists but the idea behind the program was that we specifically help on LIVE and not necessarily here.
If you could provide any information on a specific genre or game, what would it be?
Learning the maps in any genre is pretty crucial. As a general rule for FPS's, knowing where the enemy is likely to be and where they're going to always helps as does knowing where you need to be. If you're having trouble, take it slow, remain cautious and play the sneaky ninja. If you have amazing reaction speeds sometimes running and gunning can be the best tactic but if you don't, often sitting back is best.
