Time as Xbox Ambassador: It's been about a year now.
Time Zone and Time when Online and on Forums on an average day? From Monday to Friday, I'm on at usually 5:30pm (GMT) til 8-9pm (GMT). At the weekends it varies but I usually get on from 8am (GMT) til 1pm (GMT). It does depend if my friends are working. I'm far too lazy to work Saturdays unlike my friends so if their working, I'm online
Most Knowledgeable Genre(s): Oh, mainly shooters like Call of Duty etc. I’m quite a focused gamer, I only really get into one or two games at a time, but any Call of Duty really or racing games. Got into a few of them lately.
What was the main reason you had for becoming an Xbox Ambassador? Well it was basically to help more people. I was helping a lot of people anyway but with my name on the Ambassador list it would mean more people would seek advice from me. Also speaking German and English is a plus point that not many can say they have.
What would you consider your 'specialty' area? I do have a good deal of knowledge about the Xbox 360 and some of the problems that can occur with them, but I only came back to the Forums after a year(ish) break so I'm a bit rusty but I'll get back into the swing of it soon. Right now I'm really into Call of Duty 4 and World at War. So if anyone needs advice with them, hit me up.
What would you consider is your greatest contribution to the Xbox Community?
My Call of Duty 3 Achievement Guide was probably my greatest contribution. I got a lot of good feedback and almost started a trend with it. Sadly it slipped to the back pages and got deleted.
How do you best recommend that other gamers contact you should they ever require help in the future? Probably a PM on the forums is the best way to contact me, the amount of characters available in messages over Xbox Live is just not enough.
What do you think is the greatest misconception gamers have about the program?
The big one I find is that people tend to think that Ambassadors have special powers like locking/deleting threads and banning members. The majority of messages I get are usually about getting threads deleted and banning members. I was guilty of it too if I'm honest, Avenging Titan put me straight though.
What do you enjoy most about the experience you have had as an Ambassador?
Probably just being recognised for my help is the best thing, like when someone asks for help and even a plain ol' thank you is enough to give me that good feeling that I've done a good deed. Do good things and good things will happen to you. It's karma.
